Justin on building toward an exit — and something bigger
Justin brings deep experience working with major organisations across hospitality, aviation, entertainment, education and government. With Startup Crew, Noize and Vergence around BUILD FLOOR, the path to growth — and an eventual exit — feels exciting again.
By Justin, Build Floor
BUILD FLOOR brings together an ambitious vision and experience earned across complex projects. I have worked with clients including Sheraton, COMO Hotels and Virgin Australia, as well as large cinema groups, universities and government organisations. Those experiences taught me what it takes to deliver for complex organisations — and how much the right relationships matter when you are building something with real ambition.

“Knowing you’re building toward an exit, while still having the excitement of being part of a bigger story, gives me something I couldn’t get elsewhere.”
Justin, Build Floor
Our relationship with Startup Crew gave us structure, discipline and support around the business. Noize then led our brand and growth work, helping us define how BUILD FLOOR should look, sound and go to market. Those two relationships alone made joining Vergence feel like a no-brainer.
Vergence adds another layer: financial acumen, corporate advisory support and a broader group of people who understand how to build enduring businesses. Instead of trying to solve every challenge alone, I can draw on specialist capability while staying focused on customers, delivery and the opportunity ahead.
What matters most is that BUILD FLOOR can grow with a clear destination. Knowing you are building toward an exit, while still having the excitement of being part of a much bigger story, gives me something I could not get elsewhere.
For me, this chapter is about applying hard-won experience to a business with real ambition, backed by relationships that make growing it feel exciting again.
